DriftPatrol retrieves publicly accessible web pages at Customer's direction and produces machine-generated summaries of differences between successive retrievals. Summaries are statistical artifacts of a large-language model. They may be accurate; they may be wrong; they may omit changes that matter and highlight changes that do not.
Use of the Service, receipt of Output, communication with DriftPatrol personnel through the Service, or visits to this website do not create an attorney-client relationship. Confidentiality protections attendant to the attorney-client privilege and the work-product doctrine do not attach to data submitted to or produced by the Service unless and until you obtain independent legal counsel and, if appropriate, direct that counsel to engage the Service in a manner designed to preserve privilege.
State laws prohibit non-lawyers and entities not licensed to practice law from rendering legal services. DriftPatrol is mindful of these laws. The Service is deliberately structured as an informational tool: Output describes what changed, not what the change means legally. Customer and its Authorized Users are responsible for obtaining legal counsel to interpret any change surfaced by the Service.
Machine summarization introduces error. Diff detection introduces error. Rendering and parsing introduce error. Customer shall independently review the underlying content of Monitored URLs before taking or refraining from any action. DriftPatrol disclaims any duty to detect, report, or correct any specific change.
This Service is offered from the United States and is not directed to any particular jurisdiction. The Service is not a substitute for advice from counsel licensed in your jurisdiction. Some jurisdictions regulate legal services differently; if the Service is unlawful in your jurisdiction, do not use it.
We tell you a page changed. We do not tell you what the change means for your case, your client, or your license. Hire a lawyer for that part. We are the smoke alarm; you still need the fire department.
